How To Enable User Name Logging For HP Large Format Devices

Problem: 

Print jobs from an HP DesignJet or PageWide XL device appear with "unknown" username.

Solution:

Enable logging of user name in HP job accounting.

1. In a web browser, enter the IP address of the HP large format device.                                                                                                                                                                                        
2. In the web UI, click on the Setup tab.                                                                                                                                                                                                      
3. Under the Configuration section, click Security.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
4. On the Security page, scroll down to the Accounting section, check the box next to Show user name in job accounting. Click Modify to save the change.
