New printer is not automatically tracked

Argos will automatically track all printers on a computer where the Argos Agent is installed and print tracking is enabled. However, if a new printer is added, it won’t be tracked until the Argos Agent service is restarted. The agent creates a list of all installed printers each time it starts up.

If a new printer is added to a server, or a workstation where local tracking is enabled, be sure to restart the Argos Agent service.

  1. Go to Start>Run and type “Services.msc”
  2. Select “Argos Agent Service”
  3. Right-click and choose “Restart”
  4. Send a test print to confirm that the printer is tracked.
