Configuring OnBoard for Ricoh device in Argos Manager
- Open Argos Manager and select the Devices & Terminals tab.
- In the Advanced Tracking section, double-click OnBoard for Ricoh MFP SDK/J 10+.
- Enter the IP or hostname of the Ricoh MFP. Click the Fetch button to retrieve the serial number from the device.
- After the Serial Number is retrieved, click the Install OnBoard button.
- Once the OnBoard installation is complete, an Installation succeeded message will appear. Click OK.
- Click OK again to close the Ricoh OnBoard installation dialog
- A Device property window will appear. On the Argos OnBoard for Ricoh tab, click the License button to apply the connector license key; the button text should now read Unlicense (if no license is available, contact sales to obtain a quote)
- Click the Device Information tab and enter a device name (e.g. "RICOH MP C306Z"). Assign the Ricoh to the appropriate Device Group, based upon the desired media (typically with a paper size or per page pricing basis). Optionally define the Location and Owner if they will be used for reports. Click OK to save the changes.
- Double-click on the connector to re-open the device property window. On the Argos OnBoard for Ricoh tab, click the Associate... button
- In the Select a Ricoh OnBoard Server window, select the desired local Argos Application server and click OK.
- Once the Argos server and Ricoh OnBoard association is complete, a Successfully associated Ricoh OnBoard message will appear. Click OK.
- Click OK again to close the device property window.
- On the panel of the Ricoh, click the square menu icon on the right side of the screen.
- Click the "Program" tab at the top of the screen.
- Press and hold on the "Classic Applications" icon. Then release to add to home screen.
- Select "ArgosOnBoard" from the list of applications.
- Click the newly added "ArgosOnboard" icon.
- Type a valid PIN code using the keypad on the screen.
- After typing a valid PIN, a Log Out message will appear. Click the Home icon.
- When the Home screen appears, swipe left on the panel
- On the screen that appears, click the User Tools icon.
- On the screen that appears, Click the Machine Features link.
- On the screen that appears, click the System Settings button.
- On the System Settings screen, click the Administrator Tools tab. From the Administrator Tools tab, click the Next button.
- On the screen that appears, click the Enhanced External Charge Unit Management button.
- On the screen that appears, click all buttons next to Copier; deselect all buttons next to Printer; in the Other Functions section, click the Scanner button; click OK.
- On the screen that appears, click the Timer Settings tab. On the Timer Settings tab, click the Sleep Mode Timer button.
- On the screen that appears, use the onscreen keypad to enter desired time interval in minutes at which you would like any inactive logged in user to be logged out, click OK.
- Back on the Timer Settings tab, click the System Auto Reset Timer button.
- On the screen that appears, click the On button and use the onscreen keypad to enter desired time interval in seconds to match the value entered on step #24 for the Sleep Mode Timer. Click OK.
- On the System Settings screen, click the Exit button.
- On the User Tools screen, click the Screen Features link.
- On the Screen Features screen, scroll down to the System section and click the Screen Device Settings link.
- On the Screen Device Settings screen, click the Function Priority link.
- On the Function Priority screen, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the ArgosOnBoard link.
- Back on the Screen Device Settings screen, click the Home icon.
- Back on the Home screen, swipe left.
- On the screen that appears, swipe left again.
- On the screen that appears, click the ArgosOnBoard icon to return to the login screen.
