In order to track prints, copies and scans using Argos OnBoard for Xerox, the following steps are required.
This is relevant to the following device series:
Workcentre 7755, 7765, 7775, 7525, 7530, 7535, 7545, 7556, 7655, 7665, 7675 and more.
Enable Network Accounting on the device panel
- At the device panel, click the Machine Status button
- An "Authentication Required" screen will appear. Log in with your Administrator username (default username/password: admin/1111)
- Click Tools tab
- Click Accounting Settings>Accounting Mode
- Select Network Accounting button
- Click Customize Prompts
- Choose Display Prompt 1 Only from the drop-down menu
- Set Account ID Default Value to 9
- Click Save
- Click Code Entry Validation
- Click Enabled
- Click Save
At this point, the machine will be locked down and users will need to enter a PIN code make copies, scans or faxes.
Upload PIN codes to Xerox device
After enabling Network Accounting, the Xerox User Sync task must be run from Argos. Users will not be able to make copies or prints until this task has run.
